How to be Happy in 4 Steps – #1

I do not profess to be a guru, but these 4 steps have worked for me.
Happiness Step 1 – Friends.

Good friends and family members will save you a fortune in counselling or psychiatry bills! But don’t take friendship for granted, something as good as this needs to be cultivated. Keep in touch with your friends, and your relationship with them will strengthen.

There is no excuse today for losing friends. Technology and the Internet means you can now contact practically anyone. If you have lost touch with old companions you could re-establish contact with Internet sites such as Friends Reunited.

Videos, DVD’s, MP3 and CD’s

I’m a simple person. When I buy a DVD I expect to watch it on a DVD Player. Similarly I will put a CD disk into a CD player and expect to hear something. Unfortunately this will not happen with some products I might buy on the Internet.

video-for-newbies1I am preparing 20 Internet Marketing video courses for resale, and have seen some of these advertised as DVDs. They are not DVDs, the videos can only be viewed on a computer. I have also seen audio courses advertised as CD’s. They are not CD’s either, they are MP3 files for which you need a computer or MP3 player.

The UK North-South Divide

I live in Leamington Spa in the Midlands. However I have relatives in Newcastle Upon Tyne who regard me as a ‘posh southern jessie’.

There is a social and cultural divide in the United Kingdom due to London being the centre of political and economic power. The gap has widened even with ‘New Labour’ in government.

I have just cycled from Leamington Spa to Swanage on the south coast, and the cultural divide was very noticeable in the beer!

Enjoy the Journey

The theme for this post has been inspired by a good friend Mandy Allen. All members of John Thornhill’s Masterclass will know Mandy as a consistent visitor to their blogs, always leaving positive comments with her trademark “Enjoy the journey” sign-off. Life is a journey so it’s important to get pleasure from every aspect of it.

I have just returned from the best holiday I have ever had. I cycled with four friends to Swanage on the south coast, a  journey of around 150 miles. We took three days to get there, exploring via small rural roads and tracks and soaking up the absolutely beautiful English countryside.

How to See 3,000 STARS

Just look up at the night sky and you will see 3,000 stars – except you can’t can you?  You don’t need a telescope or binoculars just your naked eyes, but you still can’t see 3,000 stars can you?

Unfortunately that’s because of one of the lesser known recent pollutants on this planet; Light Pollution.

If you are unlucky enough to live in a city, you probably can’t see many stars at all. Five of the twelve main constellations have become entirely invisible to you, and the remaining seven have stars ‘missing’ – too dim to see through the orange light smog.
