Are Blogs a waste of Time?

Waste of TimeHaving enrolled on John Thornhill’s Masterclass course, one of the first instructions was to write a blog, with regular and frequent posts. I realised quite soon that if I had to write regularly, then it had better be about something I’m interested in.

I wrote a list of categories of subjects I’m interested in: Beer, Comics, Music, Films, Running, Books, Astronomy, Painting…..Internet Marketing was way down the list, but it was Internet marketing that made me create a blog, and I’m really grateful!

I’ve ended up pursuing two interests; Painting and Running  that I really enjoy by creating two new websites: www.popartoilpaintings.com and www.personaltrainerleamingtonspa.co.uk.

How to Create a Website Fast!

Happy Smiley

X SitePro is really easy to use. It’s so easy I thought I could create a website in a day, and decided to put it to the test

I registered a new domain name on Thursday.  (A new domain name can take up to 24 hours before it’s ready to use), and I wanted to create the new site on Friday.

160x600_Skyscraper1_OrangeFirst thing Friday Morning I started. I had no preparation, and not a single word written. 5 hours later my new website was ready and live on the Internet. The website only took 3 hours to create, but I spent 2 hours trying to upload it! :-(

The November Night Sky

Venus is still a bright morning star, but now rising only shortly before the sun. Mars shines out in the constellation Cancer in the eastern night sky. Jupiter is now very much an evening object, in Capricornus, low down in the south-west as seen from the Northern Hemisphere.

Pleiades & Moon

Saturn is in the eastern morning sky, further out from the sun than Venus. It is in the right-hand part of the constellation Virgo as seen from the UK.  It is brighter than the stars of the region, but not yet as bright as Spica, the main star of Virgo.
