Squeeze Page WEBSITE

I have registered the domain www.freehotreport.com for all my Squeeze Pages. Now I need to create the website, which means I can play with my favourite bit of kit; - XSite Pro, the easiest web design software bar none.

After a  few hours I am finished with a version I am happy with, and will be updating it later. I have 3 Squeeze pages. “Hot Products” looks like this:Hot-Products
The links to each Squeeze Page are at the top, though I don’t expect these to be used much. Each prospect will have been pre-sold the idea of a freebie, and will land on their individual Squeeze Page to enter their name and email address.

BLOG HOPPING for TRAFFIC

KangaroosGoogle likes blogs because they contain regular new information. However that’s true only if you post to your blog regularly. ;-) One way to improve your Google page ranking AND get traffic is to go blog-hopping, leaving comments on other blogs with a back-link to your home page.

Jacinta Dean, a Masterclass Student has come up 100comments-300x225with a good idea to encourage blog-hopping, the 100 Comment Challenge. This post is ‘sticky’, it will stay at the top of my page in an attempt to get 100 comments. 8)

SIZE Really Does Matter

Captain-America-#111Size really does matter, especially when it comes to Newspapers. In the UK the popular press (The Sun, Daily Mirror, Star) are ‘Tabloid’ size (small), and the quality press (The Times, Telegraph, Independent and Guardian) are ‘Broadsheet’ (large).  Or at least, all the quality press USED to be broadsheet, until the Times reduced their pages to tabloid, and lost me as a reader.
The-Saturday-Guardian
I have always read broadsheet newspapers, and the reason is they don’t just print the news! You get features on the latest developments in Science, Philosophy, the Arts, Medicine, Astronomy, anything that they think will be of interest to their readers. Yesterday was a case in point.

BLOGGING for Fun and Profit

Shakespeare-blogBlogging was completely new to me 18 months ago, but Masterclass students are told to set up a blog on day one of the course. Apart from learning all the website technology, I hadn’t ever kept a personal paper diary, so I wasn’t sure I could write.

First Rule of Blogging

Post something regularly. Google loves fresh content and writing new posts will improve your page ranking.

Blogging-Death-BedWrite regularly? What about?

My solution was to turn my blog into a PERSONAL diary, so I write about anything I’m interested in.

Creating a SQUEEZE PAGE

I don’t want the integrity of my websites compromised by putting up a Squeeze Page barrier. I DO however want to build up subscriber lists. ;-) My solution is to have a separate domain concentrating solely on list building.

We can do this with THREE STEPS
1) Domain Name
2) Website builder
3) Opt-in Box

STEP ONE
Domain Name
Having keywords in your domain name is one of the most powerful SEO weapons you can use. I want the word ‘free’ in my name, but the obvious .com names have already been taken. I have a website called “Hot Selling Products”, and I give away a ‘free report’ on all my sites, so I registered the name ‘freehotreport.com’

Which SQUEEZE PAGE is Best?

As a Internet surfer I don’t like Squeeze Pages, but in my role of Internet Marketeer I have realised they can be useful for list building.

Squeeze PageWhenever I land on a Squeeze Page, I click away immediately because I don’t want to be on another email marketing list. I have always assumed my potential customers would feel the same, so my websites concentrate on giving  plenty of information, and trying to get a sale. There are still opt-in boxes for list gathering, but the FOCUS is on sales.

Who are your Customers?

If you have only just started Internet Marketing you might not have any customers yet, or not enough to analyse, but it’s important you have an idea of who they are. If you have a vision in your mind of your typical customer you will be able to communicate with them effectively.

beer_maidWhen writing a sales letter or web-page you need to empathise with the prospective customer, and to do this you need to know who they are. Often they are someone very similar to you. Like attracts like.

Marvel Comics for Sale

Dr Strange 169 JunCollecting Marvel Comics is the most profitable thing I have ever done, and has given me immense pleasure over the years. I sold the majority of my Marvel Comics in 1997 to help fund a new business venture.

Ghost-Rider-1This was before the Internet and eBay. My Marvel Comics ended up in a specialist catalogue and auctioned by a London company. The notional cover value was around £20,000. I ended up with £7,000 and was happy with that. Most of them had cost me a shilling each (5 new pence), so it was a fantastic profit.

SEO for your BLOG POST

google_friendlyThe first thing to do is make sure your main keywords are in the post title. Then start your blog post with a headline/header.

Basic SEO for Blogs

Header-WebTo do this you need to click the HTML button. Don’t worry if you know nothing about HTML, simply type the code shown in the screen shot, at the start and finish of your headline.

<h2> gives a good size for a headline, but if you want

smaller sub-headings

use <h4>. Once you have your headline,  click “visual” and you can change the font colour.
