Blog Categories can Make you Money
When writing posts to your blog make sure you place each article in a category. If you get used to doing this automatically every time you post, it will save you time and trouble later.
The category is another keyword for the search engines to look at, so this will help your page rankings. However you should categorize your posts not just for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) reasons, but simply to help you and your visitors find all related information on your blog.
If you don’t know how to place your post inside a category, just follow these 3 steps; (1)Go to your WordPress Dashboard at www.YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-admin/ Click ‘Posts’ on the left hand side then Click ‘Add New’.

(2) Enter your Post Title. Then (3) Click Categories and Tick the relevant category. If there isn’t a suitable category you can create one simply by clicking + Add New Category at the bottom of the categories section.
I have categorised my posts right from the start, and this has given me two unexpected benefits. Firstly I have earned £75 simply by having a ‘Running’ category.
I was tendering for employment as a running coach, along with 6 other rivals. Although I have coached informally for years I have never charged for this, so I felt at a disadvantage to the other professionals. Then I remembered that I have already posted quite a few articles on running, and sent my blog address for the running category to the prospect. – I got the job.
The second unexpected benefit, is that when I looked at my largest categories, I realised that I had the basis for a potential e-book. Writing your own ebook is a key source of Internet wealth. Why not start simply by putting your related articles into relevant categories?
A complete ebook can seem daunting, – but a blog post? – No problem.

This is really good, John. I never thougth of the blogs posts in that way. I have felt that my mini course is like another book though! Really good advice, thanks.
Enjoy the journey.

This post seemed to write itself Mandy! I didn't know what I was going to say until I started typing. Glad it wasn't total gibberish.
