Changing Colours on Your Wordpress Blog

My blog uses the Wordpress theme ‘ProSense-Blue’ which has a dull grey background as standard. However to brighten things up a bit I changed this background colour to yellow.
Colour on Blog

I also inserted a Clickbank ad rotator as a plug-in, and changed the background colour to yellow (it’s my favourite colour :-) )

If you want to change the colour scheme and appearance of your blog you need to go to the Dashboard at  www.YOURBLOG.com/wp-admin

On the lefthand side go to Appearance
and underneath click on

Editor

There is a list of Theme Files; you need to click

Stylesheet(style.css)
Stylesheet(style

Then scroll down the page until you get to

body

font
background: #FFFF66
margin
padding

It’s the background you need to change. The yellow code I use is #FFFF66.

#page-backgroundWARNING: Before you change anything make sure you copy the existing html code and save it on your desktop.....Always back-up before making changes, in case it all goes wrong! :-)

If you’re not sure of the code, pick the colour you want in a software programme such as QuarkXpress, Photoshop or Dreamweaver. These programmes will tell you the colour code. Write it down and then go back to the Wordpress dashboard and insert the correct code.

I hope this helps.
Happy colourful blogging.
