How to Install RSS Feeds on Your Blog

You can personalise your blog with regularly updated free content by using RSS feedsHere’s how you do it : (These instructions apply to Wordpress blogs used by John Thornhill’s Masterclass students).

Go to your blog control panel with www.YOURBLOG.com/wp-admin.
On the left hand side scroll down to ‘Appearance’  and click on Widgets.
Add RSS feed to sidebar 1 or 2 and click  ’Save Changes’.
Then go to RSS edit and delete the URL entry. Here you paste or type in your RSS url address.

You can find these url addresses, on any number of subjects by simply typing ’URL Feeds’ into Google. Take your pick of your favourite site and then copy the url address in your browser.

Go back to your Blog control panel, via : Appearance, Widgets, RSS, Edit then paste your link into the  url address. Name the feed, choose whether to include content or not, ( I don’t as it makes the blog entry too long), then click ‘Save Changes’.

Visit your site to see what it looks like. Go back to edit if there are any problems and adjust. This may take a few goes before you get it looking how you want. Here are some feed addresses to get you going:
