How to Sell Your Paintings
Even in the best economic times, artists have found it difficult, if not impossible to support themselves on their artwork alone. Now add the failing global economy to the mix coupled with the vastly overcrowded internet marketplace and it’s a wonder how any artists are able to not only survive… but prosper.
But somehow, they do. In fact, some artists have become extremely affluent just from the sale of their artwork and art merchandise. Do you think they were just lucky? You know… in the right place at the right time?
I’m not saying that sheer luck doesn’t have a part to play in this and for a select few that’s all it took to succeed and become leaders in the art market niche. But what about the rest of the artists out there pouring their hearts and souls into their creations, shouldn’t they have a shot at the golden ring?

Painting is such a wonderful skill. I admire painters for being having such a great knowledge. Thinking of a topic for the portrait takes really much time. And the existence of “Art Marketing Success” would be the way for these artists to become successful. Great news!

Thinking of a subject for painting can be a problem Charlotte, which is why I like having commissions – other people give you the topic AND they will pay you for the painting.
‘Art Marketing Success’ will help those artists that haven’t got any marketing skills for selling their work.

Something about your writing has changed. It’s more fluid and conveys your character more clearly.
You have always utilized integrity in a superb manner but something else has clicked here. Excellent post, John.
I shore do like knowing that you exist, mister,

Very astute Barry, something has changed with this post – I didn’t write it.
This is an affiliate marketing piece by Joelle, the only thing I did was cut out about 250 words to make it shorter.
I’m trying to upload a new post every 3 days. I was behind schedule and had nothing prepared, so I took an easy shortcut by using this.

Brands are powerful marketing tools Daniella, but I don’t think I can apply it to my paintings.
I suppose the brand is ME, and I will make sure my customers are aware that they are buying direct from the artist, not from a faceless painting factory in the far east.
I value your contribution Daniella, and hope you visit again.

A customer gives you the topic, and you know you have a sale at the end.
