Internet Marketing Sales & Income SEPTEMBER 2009

September has been quite a frustrating month as far as sales and income goes – there’s nothing more frustrating than a big fat Zero! I seem to have been busy all month but have not really produced anything. Instead I have loads of half-finished projects all over the place. (Note to self: I must get more focused).

I haven’t written much for my blog this month, and must get back into the habit of posting regularly. I have started a new beginners group for coaching at the running track, which means I now produce 4 different track sessions each week, from 4,000 metres up to 8,000 metres.

I intend to record these sessions on an excel spreadsheet and publish them to my blog. That way I will have regular posts, but also the basis for an eBook I intend to write on  training for Marathons.

My other main occupation has been oil painting pop art images onto canvas. I have 4 pictures completed and ready for sale, but have got stuck creating a website for these. I have used Dreamweaver before, but need help to upload the sites.  My web-designer contact has now moved on, and I decided to invest in XSite Pro which seems to be much easier HTML software.

It has been a new learning curve, but today I have nearly cracked it with quite a good web-site created. I should have this uploaded next month, and hope to have more positive things to report then.

  2. You Beggar – I thought I was breaking new ground with my online honesty and all…

But no, you have to go and ruin it by being transparent last year at this time.

Man oh man, if this doesn’t cause me to drink, I don’t know what will! 8-)

There’s something I like about you, mister.

There’s definitely something about you I like Barry, you make me laugh. :-)

I’m glad you found this old post. I intended to do this monthly, but it got boring just publishing £0 all the time. The interesting thing is that it’s still zero, but I’m confident this will change. A lot of the groundwork has now been done.

For example in September 2009 I had 364 blog visitors, whereas in September 2010 it is over 2,300 visitors (boosted by Jacinta’s 100 Comment Challenge).

Also I notice here that in September 2009 I had just purchased XsitePro. Now 12 months later, I am preparing a website to offer my own Web Design and Hosting service for £99. ;-)

The opportunities are unlimited on the internet, and there are so many of them it’s impossible to predict which direction you will take. I’ve just concentrated on my blog, and everything else has happened naturally. 8)
