Squeeze Page WEBSITE
I have registered the domain www.freehotreport.com for all my Squeeze Pages. Now I need to create the website, which means I can play with my favourite bit of kit; - XSite Pro, the easiest web design software bar none.
After a few hours I am finished with a version I am happy with, and will be updating it later. I have 3 Squeeze pages. “Hot Products” looks like this:
The links to each Squeeze Page are at the top, though I don’t expect these to be used much. Each prospect will have been pre-sold the idea of a freebie, and will land on their individual Squeeze Page to enter their name and email address.
Marketing Secrets squeeze page looks like this:
Google downgrades pages with little content, but Squeeze Pages work best when they are simple. To get around this I have added links at the bottom of the website, which contain the full sales page for each product. Using links I have kept the landing page really simple, but there is plenty of information on the website, so Google will hopefully not penalise my page ranking.
The Squeeze Page for “Lazy way to Riches” looks like this:

I shall add something about “ANTI-SPAM” and “unsubscribe links” later.
The opt-in boxes were created by Aweber, and I will show how in another post. In the meantime I am quite pleased with myself.
Not a bad days work, even if I do say so myself.

Hi John, fairplay to you my friend. They look good John, i wish you every success with them.
Did you see Vance’s blog post about the plugin for squeeze pages? Would that fit in with the idea you have here?
It’s good to see you still posting fresh content as well John, i’ve got the next couple of posts in my head, just need to get them to the keyboard.
Catch up soon John, Barry

Thanks for the tip Barry, I haven’t seen Vance’s squeeze page post, but I’ll have a look now.
I’m trying to post every 3 days, and even though I have a ‘sticky’ post for August, I didn’t want to get out of the habit……I was worried that I wouldn’t get any comments, as they are ‘hidden’ under my Blog-hopping post, so I was really pleased to hear from you.
Good luck with the 100 comment challenge Barry.

Hi John, freehotreport.com sounds like an excellent domain name for list building and search optimization. If you load your squeeze page index into a folder of the same name i.e., freehotreport.com/marketing-secrets or freehotreport.com/lazy-way-to-riches and then optimize your home page for the term ‘free hot report’ or ‘hot report’ then Google should be satisfied more or less.
Not that anyone can pin down the search giant entirely except to say that they’re raison d’etre is to satisfy a searchers query as well as possible. I guess the test or the truth is in the traffic stats. Be well, Steve D.

Thanks for the tips Steve.
I think I have my folders set up the way you suggest, (XSitePro does this automatically), but I will check to make sure.
I agree with you about Google wanting to “satisfy a searchers query”. I don’t therefore see any point to ‘black hat’ SEO techniques, tricking someone into visiting your site is just a waste of time.
Good luck with the 100 comment challenge Steve.

Hi John
Just to check if I understand it right – you have bought a domain and have created the above picture .. which has 3 buttons all going to different free offers – right ? and the reader gets to choose what they’d be interested in and go for it!
Also some quick info – I am about to purchase xsitepro2 – what do you think about the software – you’ve mentioned that its great .. does it allow you to create or add or make your website a blog and add blog posts to it ? Appreciate your comments.
Oh and thanks for suggesting the ‘post teaser’ plugin in your comments on Barry’s post. But somehow it not working for my website .. back to it to make it work.
Thought of coming in and thnking you for the same .. so here I am
Cheers!

That’s correct Abizer. I have three different pages, each with opt-in boxes to separate free offers. I doubt anyone will land on one page and choose however! They will have been pre-sold the idea of getting the ‘Lazy way to Riches’ on another website, and click a ‘Yes Please’ button which sends them to my squeeze page.
One thing I have realised is that NOBODY BUYS Internet Marketing products – they are all SOLD.
I highly recommend XsitePro2 and have written another post about it here: http://johnmcnally54.com/how-to-create-a-website-fast/
Bad luck with the ‘Post Teaser’ plugin, I have the same problem with the ‘Keyword Luv’ plugin – they can be very tempermental.
I’m not sure about getting a blog inside an XsitePro website, but I will look into this ang get back to you Abizer – It’s something I have been thinking about as well.

Hi John
Thanks for explaining. Yeah, the folks who land on your squeeze page would be pre-sold the idea ..
Thanks for sharing your insight and experience on xsitepro … definitely looks good and was also looking around for reviews. It seems that they have added a lot of features and taken the software to a new level altogether.
The sites created with xsitepro – can we have readers comment on our posts like we do for blogs, can we have widgets like facebook badge, rss, etc etc ? Can we create kool squeeze pages ?
Sorry don’t mean to hi-jack this post comment theme … but its just $197 is quite a lot and am trying to get as much info as possible before making a decision.
Appreciate your feedback.
Cheers!

P.S. Oh and almost forgot to mention that your profile on the fitness site is amazing ..

I went straight to my fitness site; I haven’t looked at it for ages – yeah, it is quite good isn’t it.
I created my Squeeze pages with Xsitepro plus Aweber, it was quickly done. Facebook badges, RSS etcetera would be no problem. Xsitepro doesn’t use widgets like WordPress, YOU are in complete control instead. Don’t worry, it’s really easy WYSIWYG software.
I’ve been thinking about having comments on websites as well Abizer. I didn’t know if XsitePro did that, so I asked my old mate Google. You CAN have comments, (details here) but it costs $97 extra
I think I will stick to using Xsitepro for standard websites, and if I want a website with comments, I will register a relevant domain name, create another WordPress Blog, and upload it to my domain name. WordPress works really well, and its free.
Hope this helps Abizer. I still think XsitePro is the bees knees, and much more user friendly than Dreamweaver. Don’t forget you can have a 30 DAY FREE TRIAL, before committing yourself. Even if you don’t know anything about it,I bet you create a nice website within a week.

Thanks Shakira, I thought I was lucky as well, to get a short .com name with ‘free report’ in it.
I’m glad you like the style of the squeeze pages, as I’m going to offer multi-page website creation to local customers soon.
Good luck with the 100 comment challenge Shakira.

Nice one John..it made me think of doing mine too..;) just kidding. I think I am not in the position to do so. I don’t have confidence. Kudos for a great job!

Thanks Charlotte. It took me over a year to get this done. The change for me was buying XsitePro web design software, It’s so easy new sites can be knocked out in a few hours.
I didn’t used to have confidence either for web design, in fact I paid someone to do it for me. xSitePro is a lot cheaper than that, and quicker too.
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment Charlotte.
