What is Affiliate Marketing?
Wikipedia defines affiliate marketing as; “A method of promoting web businesses where an affiliate is rewarded for every sale through their efforts.”
The good news is that you can become an affiliate for just about anything that interests you, and the rewards can be very high.
As a Travel Agent I worked for just a 10% share of the holiday price. With affiliate marketing you can forget low margins like this, normally you can find products
that give you 50% or even more. So affiliate marketing is very profitable. It is also very interesting…..
You can promote affiliate products on absolutely anything that interests you, so the best place to start is with your hobbies. I collect American superhero comics for example, and you can even earn affiliate income from a specialised niche like this.
The best place to find affiliate products is at Clickbank. This is a massive marketplace of downloadable products that give you guaranteed affiliate income once you have registered with them (which is free).
When you have registered with Clickbank, go to their homepage and click “Marketplace” at the top.
When you are at the marketplace page, simply enter your interest in the search box. When I put comic collecting here, there are two products that will pay me 50% and 60% of the purchase price for any sales.
Now we have found some profitable products, the next step is to promote them. I will cover this in my next post.

Dear John,
I am so glad to be an affiliate of yours.
Not that we are affiliated, but you know what I mean.
Hopefully my comment doesn’t harm our affiliation.
Aye…Phil? He ate.
Later, friend.

Barry, you always seem to be arresting and ‘appy so I’m sure our affiliation will last.

Hi John, great post, I’m looking forward to your next! In the last 2 weeks I started to promote Clickbank products on twitter and I’ve been getting a lot of clicks, so maybe with some persistence and consistence I can turn those clicks into conversions. All the best, Steve D.

Well done Steve. I have been ignoring my Twitter account, but I may start using it again as I have entered the “30 Day Challenge” and they seem keen on it.
Keep up the good work.

That’s what I like about Internet Marketing Jacinta, there’s ALWAYS something new to learn. My only regret is having to leave full-time education at 16 to work, but playing on this computer is the next best thing to school.

I have been blogging since 2007. For years I made a few bucks here and there with Adsense and some affiliate sells, but I wasn’t making enough to quit the day job for sure. I tried getting traffic from Adwords, SEO, Yahoo, article marketing, social sites, and even email. The problem was that I just couldn’t get enough traffic to really make anything. Then I found out about a new way to buy traffic for so freaking cheap that it was nuts. If you’re sick and tired of only getting a handful of visitors to your blog, check this site out. You will go from a few dozen visitors a day to thousands for pocket change —> Cheap Traffic Secret

Buying traffic is tempting Samantha, but I have my rule: I want to MAKE money out of blogging, not spend it.
Thanks for visiting.

I haven’t got a subscription list at the moment Matthew, but I post something new every 3 days, so it’s worth checking back.
