Which SQUEEZE PAGE is Best?
As a Internet surfer I don’t like Squeeze Pages, but in my role of Internet Marketeer I have realised they can be useful for list building.
Whenever I land on a Squeeze Page, I click away immediately because I don’t want to be on another email marketing list. I have always assumed my potential customers would feel the same, so my websites concentrate on giving plenty of information, and trying to get a sale. There are still opt-in boxes for list gathering, but the FOCUS is on sales.
Looking at the video course “Instant Squeeze Page Mastery” has made me realise the error of my ways. I can leave my websites exactly the same, but have a separate domain just for Squeeze Pages to gather email addresses. The best of both worlds.
I have a free 7 week marketing course to give away on each website, but this offer may be lost among the deluge of sales patter. A squeeze page that
just offers this free course will be useful for list building. Which is where we come to the post title…Which SQUEEZE PAGE is best?
Originally Squeeze Pages were as simple as possible, and my instinct is that this is correct. People can suffer from information overload, so a very simple squeeze page with a call to action and an opt-in box would be a welcome change.
However Google and the major search engines have adjusted their algorithms to downgrade and sometimes exclude squeeze pages that are considered “spam” due to their lack of content.
My solution is to have a simple squeeze page, with links to more content at the top and bottom. This satisfies the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle, while hopefully also satisfying the search engines.
However, I am open to suggestions. Do you use squeeze pages? What type have you found most effective? Your comments would be appreciated, before I commit much time to this project. Thanks.

Hi John, i’m afraid i can’t help here as i haven’t used any squeeze pages as yet.
I do intent to though, as soon as i’ve created the products to go with them. One product will be offered on the squeeze page as a free eBook with the 2nd product being an up sell. If only i could clone myself and get all my ideas working.
I, like you, often close the page when faced with another optin unless the subject is something i’m looking for at that time.
Keep up the fantastic work John, back soon, Barry

Even though you haven’t got a clone, you still seem to get a lot done Barry.
I haven’t created my own product yet; I’m using the Squeeze Pages for some Resell Rights stuff I have.
See you back on your blog.

Hi John,
I havn’t started using squeeze pages either, still catching up on Masterclass, but I have the same reaction as you when I land on a squeeze page. I didn’t know that less info could be bad for the search engines. A lot to learn. I’ve started reading Silent Jim’s site which has a lot of great info about internet marketing from many qualified people with a lot of free content.
Good Luck,
Mike

Thanks for visiting Mike.
SEO rules are changing all the time, so you can never be completely sure if you’re doing the right thing. If you stick with providing quality, original content, I don’t think you can go far wrong.
One feature I like about XSite Pro is that it provides a report on your website, with a checklist of SEO things to do. According to that, the optimum content is between 500 and 1,000 words for each webpage.
Keep sticking at the Masterclass Mike, it will all get easier…………..eventually!

Hey Buddy,
As a newbie in this game I too, am already wary of squeeze pages.
I’m getting dozens of emails everyday from sign-ups and with the large amount of time I habitually waste, there’s none left for going to the bathroom and similarly important stuff.
So, when email stops my bladder and sphincter muscle from working properly, I gotta do something about it – which is why I’m so glad to know you. You know what to do…
Thank you for your wisdom John, I am very fortunate to be a follower of you.
Later pal.
Call me anything but late for supper.

Thanks for the kind words Barry. I’m only one step ahead of you in this Internet Marketing game, but I can hear your footsteps behind and I reckon you will soon come whizzing past on your dash to financial freedom.

This is actually the second occasion I’ve encountered your web site in the last few weeks. Looks like I should take a note of it.
